Tori Amos at the Apollo Hammersmith (04/07)

I saw Tori Amos last night (4th July) at the Hammersmith Apollo. She was great! I thought there would be lots of songs from the new album (which I still don't like), but instead she played lots of old songs. As it was 4th July there were lots of her political songs, which we'd expected, and she wore an American flag sequined catsuit (ohgod).

Hey Jupiter

It was a shame about the irritating audience, though. Lots of people were getting up and going to the bar or the bathroom, and the people we were sat with were the worst audience members ever. The people infront of us turned up halfway through Devils and Gods, and spent the whole time fidgeting, talking, and playing with their phones. The guy on our right sang random lines and was *incredibly* out of tune. The pair on our left went home halfway through Beauty of Speed (I guess to get a train); they could have at least waited til the end of the song! And the people behind us were even worse, the guy behind me kept kicking my chair and putting his feet up on it, and kept touching my shoulder - why would you do that?! It creeped me out and made me feel so uncomfortable all evening. Whoever that was, you were lucky I didn't claw your eyes out.
